What would you do:
Reporting to the VP of Service Delivery and Customer Success, the Delivery Director is responsible for the overall delivery health and outcomes of assigned client accounts. You own delivery at the portfolio level across multiple accounts or large enterprise engagements, ensuring delivery models are sustainable, delivery risks are structurally addressed, delivery outcomes on track, and client trust is maintained at the executive level.
You lead and coach Delivery Managers, intervene when delivery requires structural correction, and partner closely with Client Partners to align delivery outcomes with commercial strategy. Your role is not to run projects, but to ensure the right delivery system is in place for long-term success.
Portfolio & Account-Level Delivery Ownership
Own delivery outcomes across a portfolio of accounts
Ensure delivery models are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with client business objectives
Maintain a portfolio-level view of delivery health, risks, dependencies, and systemic issues.
Decide when delivery requires intervention, reset, or structural change
Partner with Client Partners to align delivery with account strategy and growth plans
Delivery Discipline Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop Delivery Managers responsible for operational execution.
Set expectations, role clarity, and accountability across the delivery managers layer
Support succession planning, capability building, and maturity of the delivery organization
Act as a role model for judgment-based leadership, not process enforcement
Delivery Governance & Structural Oversight
Define and enforce delivery governance standards at portfolio level
Review delivery performance, risks, and trends across accounts to identify systemic issues
Ensure consistency of delivery principles, reporting, escalation paths, and decision-making frameworks
Intervene when governance, predictability, or credibility is at risk
Risk, Escalation & Intervention
Act as the senior escalation point for delivery issues beyond Delivery Manager scope
Address structural risks such as misaligned expectations, capacity models, or delivery approach
Make tradeoff decisions across scope, time, quality, and cost at the account or portfolio level
Reset expectations with clients when required to protect long-term trust and outcomes
Financial & Delivery Sustainability Oversight
Own delivery-side financial health: margin signals, utilization patterns, and delivery efficiency
Ensure delivery commitments are realistic and aligned with commercial agreements
Partner with Client Partners on pricing implications, delivery assumptions, and renewals
Ensure delivery models protect profitability without compromising credibility
Executive Client Relationship
Serve as the senior delivery counterpart to client executive stakeholders
Build trust through transparency, sound judgment, and decisive leadership
Participate in MBRs, QBRs, Monthly Account Reviews, Executive reviews, and critical client conversations
Represent Devtech as a credible, outcome-oriented delivery partner
Continuous Improvement & Delivery Maturity
Drive continuous improvement at the system level, not just project level
Identify recurring delivery patterns and implement structural corrections
Contribute to the evolution of Devtech’s delivery operating model
Ensure delivery excellence scales as the organization grows
What you will need:
10+ years in IT/digital delivery, including senior leadership over multi-account or enterprise delivery
Proven experience owning delivery outcomes at portfolio or enterprise level
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile environments)
Strong financial and commercial understanding (margins, utilization, delivery economics)
Exceptional executive stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills
Ability to diagnose and solve systemic delivery problems, not just operational issues
Experience leading senior delivery leaders (Delivery Managers, SDMs, PM leaders)
Background in software engineering, cloud, or digital product delivery environments
