What you’ll do

As the leader of the Finance team, you will take ownership of essential financial processes, ensuring both governance and the accuracy of all financial records. You will manage a team of finance professionals dedicated to supporting these objectives. This position reports directly to the CFO and will require extensive cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization.

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the accounting team by overseeing their activities, organizing priorities, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and participating in all performance and compensation decisions for the team in close coordination with the CFO.
  
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  
• Ensure that all activities within the accounting department are well-organized and meet both statutory deadlines and internal reporting requirements.
  
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of all regulatory reports for Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, the UK, and the USA, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. This encompasses managing local and all other reporting requirements, tax filings, and any reporting required by creditors.
  
• Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements in line with UK GAAP and manage standalone and group audit processes.
  
• Support and manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes for all entities.
  
• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate monthly, and annual financial statements.
  
• Maintain the accounting systems and tools used by the Accounting Team across all corporate entities.
  
• Implement and uphold Devtech’s accounting procedures and best practices, focusing on quality control in financial transactions and reporting, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and Devtech’s Code of Conduct.
  
• Develop, document, and maintain business processes and accounting policies that reinforce internal controls and adhere to Devtech’s Code of Conduct, with a particular emphasis on ethical behavior, integrity and confidentiality.
  
• Manage and coordinate the work of external accountants to ensure effective collaboration and compliance.
  
• Communicate effectively with clients, tax authorities, auditors, consultants, and other relevant institutions.
  

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.

• Demonstrated experience in leadership or supervisory roles.

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is strongly preferred

• Familiar with UK GAAP, as well as GAAP standards in Serbia, Bosnia, and North Macedonia, including rules, procedures, and taxation is an advantage.

• Experience working with external auditors and accountants.

• Strong proficiency in MS Dynamics or similar ERP systems.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration in companies of similar or larger size.

• Ability to work independently with a results-oriented approach.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
